Exterran Site tour Report
In my Environmental Health and Safety Compliance class, we went on tours of different types of environmentally regulated facilities. In these tours we were charged with gathering information on the different regulations associated with the site, the characteristics of the site and how the site keeps up with the requirement of the regulations. The following six reports were written to exhibit the previously mentioned characteristics at each of the major sites visited.
Exterran is a company that produces natural gas accessories and pipes. They are a large industrial site that has hired Mounce and Associates to handle the Environmental Health and Safety area of their business. The site was very impressive in scale and the tour led by a very knowledgable Mr. Mounce.

Texas A&m wastewater treatment facility tour report
The Texas A&M Wastewater Treatment Facility was a very interesting tour in that it showed me how the universities wastes were dealt with and brought a sense of realness to normal operations such as running the water in the sink. I had previous had not known the full process of how wastewater is treated and it was interesting to observe the full process personally.

Texas a&m storage tanks and Stormwater tour report
This tour was broken down into two different component of Texas A&M compliance. For the Storage Tank compliance section, we toured the Texas A&M Fleet Services building that houses the gas used to power all University cars and busses. The elaborate system used to monitor the storage tanks and any possible releases was eye opening. Secondly, we went to a section of White's Creek on campus to talk about and witness Texas A&M's Stormwater plans. The creek runs right through a rapidly developing area of campus and it was interesting to see how the University was dealing with that to insure there is no contamination or pollution to the creek during this time.

texas a&m biological waste facility tour report
The Biological Waste Facility deals with all wastes produced by Texas A&M, the Vet. School in particular, and the surrounding community. Previously, I had not considered the necessity of such a facility and was suppressed to see how big a facility was needed and the different processes they provided. While considered gross to most, I found the site to be very interesting and the tour a informative, eye opening experience.

texas A&M Main Utility plant tour report
Texas A&M, for the sake of sustainability and economics, has been running their own utility plant for decades. Within the facility is a giant natural gas burning generator that produces most of the energy and heat associated with University. While the facility produces no smoke, the steam produced is still tested and so is the heated or cooled water coming out of the facility to ensure no excess pollution or contamination.

CAPM Certification Presentation
The first of two group project done in my Environmental Health and Safety class was to create a vlog type video outlining a specific certification within the Environmental professional field. My partner, Jordan Morgan, and I chose to do ours over the CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) Certification. This certification is mostly used as a stepping stone towards a Project Manager Certification but is also used widely by itself to help employees effectively manage projects.
Planning and Responding to Workplace Emergencies Project
Our second project, again done in conduction with Jordan Morgan, was over a chosen Fact Sheet in OSHA standards. This project was meant to be given as an Environmental Health and Safety worker might try to push for its implementation within a company. Jordan and I gave this presentation to the class and were expected to be "experts" on the subject and exposed to a plethora of questions about our presentation after.

Austin parks and Rec Internship Project
During the Summer of 2014, I interned with Austin Parks and Rec in the Aquatics Division, Specifically at Barton Springs Pool ( a natural, spring-fed pool housing multiple endangered species and other wildlife). This document is the new Environmental Awareness Program now given to all new employees so that they can understand the kind of work environment that they will be working in that I created over the summer. I used my experiences as a lifeguard as well as my knowledge and research of the environment to put this document together that will hopefully help new employees in the future understand more about their workplace.

Deer Populations in New Zealand: an ecological dilemma
Written for my American Environmental History class, this paper outlines the social and environmental problems associated with the introduction of deer to New Zealand. My professor, Dr. Thomas Dunlap, was an expert in the subject and with my existing interest in New Zealand, I chose to write about this subject. This paper shows not only how invasive species can devastate an island environment but also the social and political effects.

Ecological Report
This is an Ecological Report over the different ecological zones found in Lick Creek Park and how they related to tree and shrub growth in the area. In this report I outline my field findings and how they relate to my original hypothesis on association with the distance from the creek.

Agricultural Discussion Report
In my Environmental Issues class, we each had to lead a discussion over a specific published article. For "Farmworker Food Insecurity and the Production of Hunger in California" I prepared questions and topics to encourage discussion and recorded the class' responses. In the paper I outline all these discussion as well as the topics described in the article itself.
