Career / life goals
I started off my collegiate career as a Biomedical Science Major and through self-reflection and other reasons; I switched to become a BioEnvironmental Sciences Major at the beginning of my Junior year.
During the summer going into my Junior year, I made the decision to switch career paths and focussed my learning at Texas A&M towards the environmental field. I did this because I didn't feel like the road I was going down was right for me and that there had to be a better goal for myself. This is where I really feel like my college experience began academically because it was more focussed and more interesting to me.
My college experience, while difficult and testing has pushed me in a path that I feel truly suits me and my goals for life. The more I learn about my field, the more I want to truly participate in it professionally. Soon, I will enter the work force in the environmental arena and hope to make a difference in anyway I can.

Vark Learning style
VARK Learning styles are based off a questionnaire built to determine what ratio of the four types of learning: Visual, Aural, Read/Write, Kinesthetics. My scores in these areas are: Visual-8, Aural-8, Read/Write-3, Kinesthetics-9. In my opinion, this score is mostly accurate. I have always been a physical learner and thrive in a 3D environment. This explains my visual and kinesthetics scores. The only part of my scores that I am unsure of is the aural score. I do well with verbal instructions but have never believed them to be one of my strengths. This test has both confirmed some of my previous assumptions but has also opened my mind up to pursuing and improving my weaknesses.
